“Outstanding Ethos For Learning” at Norman Court Preparatory School

The recent inspection of Norman Court Preparatory School has praised the school's, “Outstanding ethos for learning,” which encourages in pupils a very positive approach to learning. The DfES accredited Independent Schools' Inspectorate, which visits every six years, spent four days at the school in February during which they looked at every facet of the school's life, including its strong links with the community.

The inspectors particularly praised the outstanding pastoral care, boarding life, PE, games, extracurricular activities and Learning Support. The school was described as a, “Listening school,” with excellent pupil behaviour, exemplary manners and excellent relationships with parents – all of which reflect the school's family-centred ethos. Standards of achievement are above average across the school's broad ability range and throughout a varied curriculum, “Which fosters their intellectual, personal, physical and creative needs as well as their interests and aptitudes…they think and act creatively and with growing confidence.”
