Earthsong at Norman Court

Norman Court rocked to African drums, when Earthsong, a multicultural music workshop, spent the day at the school. Sitars, agogo bells, African xylophones and didgeridoos were amongst the instruments from around the world which were demonstrated and the children made music to an irresistible beat, danced Safari dances and laughed at the antics of Mr Lion the wayward puppet. Head of Music Hamish McKeown said, ‘I have never seen a djembe or an African thumb piano before, so we are all delighting in learning together today'.
