The Norman Court Pre-Prep children sat entranced at their Harvest Service as they listened to Mr Niblett, from Lockerley Parish Church, telling them the story of Millicent Mouse. Her lucky escape from a combine harvester, and kind offer of a new home by a friendly neighbour, taught them the value of generosity at a time of plenty for some, and hardship for others. Generous donations were collected for the Trussell Trust whose foodbank project, pioneered in Salisbury, supports people experiencing emotional or financial crisis. The spell was broken by Archie who asked in a loud voice whether he could eat the stunning Harvest Sheaf, complete with a beautiful Millicent poised to nibble the corn. The Sheaf was baked in the Norman Court kitchen by Chefs Stephen and Mo whose meals are always deliciously popular.
