Thanks to the Norman Court Parents' Society and the leadership, and hard work of Mr Jeanes in particular, we now have a new school pond. This is as a result of Salisbury House's successful proposal in the “Dragons' Den” earlier this year.
The pond now has water and some plants ready to go in, but it will of course take time to develop as a fully balanced habitat and eco-system. The aim is to get a thriving freshwater community, with plants and mini-beasts but no fish! The science department has already done some preliminary surveys so that we can monitor how the populations change over time.
Mr Jeanes has worked extremely hard over the last half term and we are all extremely grateful.
