Year 1 headed off to the Wallops, for a day trip to the Museum of Army Flying. We had a very busy time, following the history of flight through all the different sorts of military flying machines, including the hot-air basket and kite which we decided only very, very brave people would have got into! We were very lucky indeed to be invited into the Army Air Corps' hangars just next door to the Museum, where we were all able to actually sit inside an Apache helicopter - yes, a real one!
