Pastoral Care

Boarders getting ready for bed"Boarding gives children the chance to spend more time with their friends to take part in the extra evening activities. The opportunity to flexi board helps children to adapt to boarding life"

Norman Court is a boarding school that also accommodates day pupils. It prides itself on being a happy school with a family atmosphere.

Our children cherish values such as courtesy and politeness, while maintaining a high standard of behaviour.

Boarding is funPastoral care is supervised by our Housemother and live-in House parents, who are responsible for the well being of all children along with our team of matrons.

Each pupil in main school is assigned to a House that is run by a member of the house staff.

These staff along with the House tutor are the focal point of pastoral support.

Plenty to keep them happyBoarders have the opportunity to get involved in a number of activities arranged for them or they may choose to relax in the evenings.

Weekends are the time when boarders have the opportunity to go out on trips such as ice-skating, swimming, cinema, bowling or get involved in the activities arranged for them at school by the house parents.

The main emphasis of boarding is for the children to enjoy themselves in a home-from-home atmosphere, where there is a balance of work, rest and recreation.
